The Gym Rats Rising Stars camp, sponsored by Nike, is back by popular demand! Last year's camps were so successful here in Kansas City and on a National Level that the Gym Rats Rising Stars Camp is returning. In addition, this year's camp will include girls as well as boys.
Statistics show that only 3 out of every 100 kids competing at the high school level will earn a scholarship to play basketball collegiately. With this in mind, Gym Rats, sponsored by Nike, created a National Elite camp series aimed at getting kids exposure at a young age as well as giving them a true sense of what it will take to obtain their dreams. The camp will consist of intense on-court instruction with an emphasis on skill development along with off-court instruction focused on the importance of performing in the classroom setting and many other things that will be essential in order to earn a scholarship and compete at the collegiate level.
Each participant will receive an individual evaluation from Van Coleman, one of the USA's most noted talent evaluators. Mr. Coleman is the host for HoopMasters and the basketball editor for CSTV. Throughout the camp, Van Coleman and several regional representatives will be hand-selecting kids in each age group that will continue on to the National Camp held in Ft. Wayne, IN.
